2017 #LIGHTtheWORLD Printables - FREE Tea Light Wraps!

Did you know that it's actually TORTURE to preview the #LIGHTtheWORLD Mormon.org media and videos for the Christmas Initiative ahead of time?! First there's the flood of self-inflicted stress to come up with an original idea that's printable friendly - and second - once that idea hits, it's SO HARD not to share it immediately! Lucky for me (and you)... I now have on good authority that the official video will be released sometime next week AND it's okay for me to share my free printable kit - which I'm so grateful for... us ladies need time to PLAN AHEAD, am I right?!!

You'll recognize this hashtag from last year... sounds like the initiative was SO SUCCESSFUL and so well received both inside and outside the Church - that it could become the Christmas Theme for the foreseeable future! How awesome that together we created a flood of goodness on the Internet that resulted in a FLASH FLOOD of service in our communities and around the world!

Elder Bednar would be so proud of us!! ♥

So... what will YOU do to #LIGHTtheWORLD again this year? The focus, like 2016, will be to follow the Savior's example and serve others the way he did. We, too, can serve in 25 ways over 25 days - and although it's fun to do something big, we can also make a huge difference by just doing consistent small acts every day in December and beyond!

On Mormon.org there is a calendar of daily scriptures that give examples of how Christ served; each one then promotes a particular "theme" for that day. I've taken those scriptures and put them on Tea Light Wrappers - so as you light the world each day, your family can light candles - and literally light your home with the service you've done! What a fun thing to do with your family... but what a great gift to take to the ladies you Visit Teach and make some extra sets so your hubby can make a December 1st Christmas visit to his Home Teaching families!

I know a lot of ladies that follow my blog are also YW Advisors, RS Presidents, Activity Day Leaders and more... so I also created a single  #LIGHTtheWORLD wrapper. With this one... you can give just a one candle (instead of 25) that the recipient can turn on each day that they participate - or it can just serve as a reminder to look for ways each day to light the world. I also shrunk the Mormon.org Initiative Calendar to half size - so be sure to roll up it up and include it with the gift tag and candle so everyone knows what to do!

This row of lights is a super fun thing to display on your mantle, on a shelf or even a window sill...  and each day as you light the world, just turn on the next tea light to also light your home!

I hope we'll all have glowing mantles this December... Merry Christmas, friends! ♥

Christmas Printables + Gift Ideas ROUND UP!

It's no secret... Christmas is my favorite time of the year!

I'm Nativity Girl at heart - BUT I do love red and green AND I do love spreading Christmas Joy to friends and neighbors, and as you can see... over the years, I've really put together a fun collection of all things Christmas! Take a gander at the image above... think bus driver, teacher, neighbor, friend and co-worker - there's something for everyone! Best of all, because it's a printable - you download it once and can use it over and over again. Most of my printables are fairly inexpensive to make - but the design makes it look like you put a lot of work into it.

Don't worry... you can be the gift-giving rockstar, it'll be our little secret!!

Nativity Printables & Gift Ideas Round UP!

Let's get one thing straight. I'm a Nativity Girl...

Don't get me wrong, I love Santa - but my heart is 100% Nativity (as it should be, right)? HE truly is the reason for the season and over the years, I've built up a great collection of Nativity themed printables that essentially double as Christ-Centered gift ideas! It was so fun to pull all of these pictures together - I'm excited from year to year to see what I'll be inspired to create next!

One thing I love about Nativity items - it doesn't really matter what Christian Denomination you or your neighbors and friends are... the Nativity Story transcends faith lines and spreading His light is EASY when you think of it that way!! If you can - step out of your comfort zone this year and give a Nativity-themed gift to someone you wouldn't normally. At the very least... they'll love the chocolate, right? And at the most, you'll sprinkle a little bit of joy and potentially even remind them why and who we are celebrating. ♥

Don't worry - I also have regular Christmas printables too... see Round UP here!

2018 Primary Printables Collection

I've been there... Primary is a BIG JOB!! It's tough to stay organized, thoughtful, spiritual and on top of every detail and class - a juggling act to be commended. So - you leave the organization and gifts up to me; then you can focus on the most important things... teaching those little spirits!!

This is my biggest Primary Collection to date - and I am IN LOVE with the fun pops of color! I added a free Bulletin Board & Banner Kit this year and decided to keep the Presidency Kit as a freebie as well. The gift items are great for recognizing birthdays or make up a few things to have on hand for when you visit kiddos that don't come as often - they need cute "I am a Child of God" stuff too! And - the planner... MY FAVORITE part of the collection! It will help you keep track of every detail and, even more importantly, will help keep your presidency all on the same page (something that can be a feat in and of itself)!

Below is a list with a quick tip or two for each item... however full instructions are provided on each link and with each printable.

Print your inside pages at home or at a copy shop... then either spiral bind or simply 3-hole punch and put in a binder; I recommend laminating covers. Printable sticker tabs are included, as are matching RSVP Pentel Pen Inserts! Check the link above for pictures on how to make your pens! If you have to be organized - it might as well all be cute!

GIFT BUNDLE (non-candy!!)

We all love having non-candy options when it comes to gifts and if that's your motto - this set is perfect for you. Pen inserts are fun, cheap and easy to make with RSVP Pentel Pens and here's a great tutorial that will help you make your tiles. I like using glossy sticker paper for my lip balm labels - then secure the seam with clear tape.

This is designed for regular sized Hershey Chocolate Bars (but can be used with other similar sized  bars). I personally like using glossy sticker paper or brochure. There are 4 wrappers included... Happy Birthday, We've Missed You, Thanks for all you do and blank.

I use glossy sticker paper for my nugget wrappers, photo paper for the tag and the cello bags are "pretzel stick" sized (can be found anywhere cake decorating supplies are sold).

Bulletin Board Kit Includes Titles, a Banner, picture frames/mirrors and accent papers for making borders or for mounting announcements, etc.

The Presidency Kit includes Presidency Binder Covers, Lesson Binder Covers, Sharing Time Assignment Cards and Door Signs.

Print images on 4x6 photo paper or order from your favorite photo lab and punch with 1" punch. Use E6000 glue to adhere image and epoxy sticker to bottle cap. I get my supplies from Fizzy Pops

That pretty much covers it... Happy Printing, friends!

#LittleLamb from Bethlehem FREE PRINTABLES

Oh my goodness... I haven't seen something as cute as this in a million years!! I rarely promote products besides my own - but this one is VERY WORTH an exception. My peeps at Deseret Book reached out and asked if I'd be willing to design some printables to accompany a new book they recently launched for this holiday season.

At first, I was honestly like... this is not what I do...

BUT... after they sent me the package, I read the little story and fell in love with the Little Lamb! She's not just ANY lamb... as the story goes, she was in the stable when baby Jesus was born!

So - hold onto your tinsel, friends... my little twist to the story is INSTEAD of hiding/moving a mischievous elf around during December - you can hide this darling Little Lamb and she'll deliver a new Nativity verse to read each morning!

(Free printable tags courtesy of yours truly... of course)!

Doesn't that sound WAY better than spilling milk and Cheerios to create elf chaos??

The first Christmas after Eric was diagnosed with cancer (2012), the holidays took on a whole new meaning for me. As I got my boxes out to decorate that year... my Santa's, reindeer and snowmen just felt empty and hallow. I cried and stuck them right back out in the garage; that was not the kind of "holiday cheer" I was looking for. I ended up decorating with just my Nativities, evergreen boughs, my tree and lights. It was, by far, the most meaningful Christmas we'd ever had - and the decorations really set the tone. After that, I got rid of any decor that wasn't Christ-centered and have never looked back. This darling story and Little Lamb is a perfect addition to how we celebrate the season in our home... ♥

... because it's NOT about reindeer and elves - IT IS ABOUT THE LAMB!

To help you get your new tradition started... I included a 3" gift tag (since it's an awesome gift idea and particularly great for grandma's to give their grand kids) + a little 2" instruction tag. Next is a sheet of 2" round tags with 12 Nativity Verses. The last sheet is full of blank tags - I suggest looking up your favorite scriptures about the Savior, writing them on the tags and using those for another 12 days leading up to Christmas - making 24 tags/days in all.

I suggest printing the tags on any kind of glossy paper (photo or brochure; brochure is my favorite) using your printer's best quality print setting. They are sized for 2" punching, or just use scissors. I laminated mine so I can used them year after year - then punched a small hole and tied a loop with twine so I can hang the tag on my Little Lamb each day. The verse tags fit perfectly in a favor-sized organza gift bag. If you are giving this as a gift, just carefully open the package and slip it inside.

Isn't she so cute?! I can't wait to introduce her to my kids on December 1st!
You can grab the "Little Lamb" book and gift set at any Deseret Book or online

* I was not paid to write this post, these opinions are my own. However, as mentioned above, Deseret Book sent me the Little Lamb set as a gift.
It's just too cute and too meaningful not to share! ♥

I've been meaning to do bulletin board kits... FOR. YEARS. It's one of my most requested items for each of the organizations I make printables for - so to start things off, here's Primary!!

Of course, it coordinates with all of my 2018 Primary Printables and this kit is free (just like my Presidency Kit)! It includes all the things you see above... banner, titles, little mirror frames and even accent paper that you can do lots of things with (like trim it into 2" strips to make your bulletin board border). Once you get your boards done - email me a picture, I'd love to see how you put it together!
