RS Lesson 21 Handouts - Member Missionary!

I can't believe Lisa's already working on November Lessons!! This year is just flying by! As always - she leaves the lesson planning up to you and the Spirit so you meet the needs of your class... but she has created some nice visuals and word strips to help with transitions and delivery. Plus - a great quote from the lesson, a super fun handout and her signature scripture nugget wrappers!

Here's the handouts from Lessons 19 and 20 if you are still looking for those!

Free Visiting Teaching Printable for October 2017!

It's that time again... although I'm WAY later this month than normal. Sorry about that - life's been busy with the fam (as it should be).  Like always, I made these up as 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10... great for delivering or putting on a bulletin board.

2018 RS Planner + SOME FREEBIES!

The Relief Society Planner continues to be a favorite of mine!! And, with so many ideas flooding in every year, it's become one of my most THOROUGH presidency planners too! Before I explain the new stuff... let me point out some of the main pages and sections if you are new to my planners!

The heart of the planner is the Monthly Planning Sections. They come with a dated calendar, weekly to do's, a 2 page presidency spread (for all the things you should be discussing and counselling about in regular monthly presidency meetings), note space for welfare/food order concerns, ward council and more. New to this section is a Monthly Lesson Planner to accommodate the extra planning that will go into selecting topics and talks for 2018 lessons.

Here's a close-up of the new "Lesson Planner" page + the new bonus freebies that come with it - coordinating pen inserts and a matching bottle cap! What can you do with the bottle cap? Make magnets for your boards or my favorite... make a planner clip with 4" paper clip!

Before I post the freebies here - I also wanted to point out the Activity Planners. For the 3 bigger annual activities, there is a 2 page planning spread. For regular monthly activities, there is a smaller (one sheet) planner. In addition to these great pages, there is also budget sheets, a food order log, a service log, notes, lists, contact, annual planners and more. It really takes the guess work and juggling out of a huge calling and dials it down to well thought out sections and pages to keep it all organized - and to keep everyone on the same page (literally).

A note about RS Committees and Compassionate Service Leaders... one of the most common questions I get is if I have a modified planner for other RS callings and leaders. The answer to that is yes and no. :) I don't have one pre-laid out for other specific callings - however, 60-70% of the pages in this planner would be ideal for other callings. Simply go through the PDF and cherry pick the pages they need. For example, the RS Committee can definitely use the calendar, the activity planning sections + the small activity sheet... print what they need and bind it! Same with Compassionate Service Leader... a calendar, the weekly to do's, some notes pages and the service log would be perfect for her. Think outside the box and create smaller planners out of the main one for the other ladies in your organization.

Ok... on to the freebies! Free for EVERYONE... pen inserts and the cute bottle cap!

NEW Undated Personal Progress Planner!

I have absolutely LOVED this addition to my Planner Collection - and it was my daughter's idea! I'll explain more about that below...

This planner is a FANTASTIC way to help YW keep track of the Value Experiences and Projects they are working on in a calendaring type format. They should be praying daily and reading scriptures daily as well - so in addition to keeping track of what they are working on, they can track these fundamentals too! The planner also has ample space for journaling to keep track of those experiences where they need to record observations, feelings and results. Another benefit of the calendar format is many experiences have you do this or that for two weeks, like prepare dinners for your family. Recording them on the calendar is a fast and easy way to keep track.

The reason I decided this year's update should be undated is because with a dated version, if a girl comes in in January she gets full use of the planner... but a girl coming in July only gets to use half of it! So, that was the first reason. The second, and maybe even more important, is you can put as many monthly pages in it as you want... making this planner last as long as you want! Put 2-4 years' worth in the planner and this will last them clear through earning their medallion, then be a very fun memento to reflect on the work that went into it.

New this year besides being undated... added a Service Log to track Honor Bee hours as well as a second scripture reading tracker since to earn their Honor Bee, they need to read the Book of Mormon a second time. Also new... MATCHING PENS! (made for RSVP Pentel Pens)

We can all thank my cute daughter Hailey for this creative approach to Personal Progress. She's so organized, she kept track of everything she did in a plain notebook... but after getting her Medallion and needing to mentor a new Beehive for her Honor Bee, she sat down with me and we designed a planner to reflect on the ways she kept her notebook. My next daughter, who is not nearly has organized as her, has LOVED having a dedicated place to keep track of everything. It's a big feat to work on Personal Progress, to be activity planning projects, especially across values - so this became a fabulous solution. She's also the one who also requested "cute owls in value colors".

What a sweetie! ♥

You don't need to be a YW Leader to use this... if you have a daughter in YW, she'll love this!!

2018 YW Class Presidency Planner

What better way to teach our young leaders how to plan, how to conduct a meeting, how to correlate with other leaders, etc - than with a planner that guides them through each point?! With calendars, teaching schedules, places for BYC Notes, assignments, activity plans, service opportunities and more - it gives them space to record ideas and plans for each component of their calling! It's a seriously awesome way to teach, train and develop the girls to become thoughtful and capable leaders... plus help them take ownership of their duties. ♥

This edition is similar to past years with the addition of those cute matching pens - you can find RSVP Pentel Pens almost anywhere, even grocery stores. They make a very fun add-on to the planner. For more pics and a full list of what's included, visit the link below!

#sharegoodness NUGGET FREEBIE!

I have the best job, can I just tell you?!! I get invited to speak at various events and one of my favorite topics to speak on is how we can use and develop talents to #sharegoodness in the world. No matter how big or small our sphere of influence, we can share goodness with those around us. In fact, we are commanded to share our light with others!

Matthew 5:14-16 says, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

In the Parable of the Talents, we know the Lord is telling us that we should not only develop the talents he has given us, but we are to multiply them! But where to you start? How do you know what talents you've been blessed with or which ones you should develop? There is no one formula... but it's definitely a matter of prayer, counseling with others (often they see our talents when we cannot) - and going through the process of seeking inspiration from Heavenly Father about what HIS plan is for us and what potentials he knows we have. It's truly the journey of a lifetime.

This past week I spoke to an RS group in Salt Lake and for the favor, we decided to put my main points on a set of nuggets and I wanted to share it with you all! If you'd like to plan a similar activity (great for YW or RS) - I based lots of my remarks on the scripture above, the Parable of the Talents and President Uchtdorf's conference talk "Happiness, Your Heritage". I spoke for about 20 minutes, then they had a few tables set up where ladies could explore and try a new talent in two 20 minute rotations. You could certainly do anything - but they had a crochet table, a beading table and doughnut making. It was a great night where goodness was shared and we all left feeling uplifted and excited to better seek inspiration as we develop and share our talents with the world. ♥
